 Band
CFW is literally Created for Worship!! The group was formed in the summer of 2005. Yep, we are coming up on our birthday. The group started when Stan Puffer, Jay Caputo and Lee Hoffman got together to play Christian music just for the fun of it. We quickly added Jim Weinfurtner on drums. The search was on for a female singer. Carrie Ford answered the call and the group started to click. Tammy Stanek was recruited as sound technician. As we added more songs, it was soon apparent that this music had to be shared. CFW spent many evenings rehearsing before we felt the music was ready. We began to book events in March and were warmly received.

What is one thing about you that would surprise most people?
I very seldom listen to “secular” music anymore! It is strictly Christian CD’s or Christian radio when I’m a
t home or in my van.
What are your musical influences?
It all started back in 1967 with a TV show and a band called “The Monkees”! That’s when the seed was planted and music became a major part of my life. Then came the band that would be the biggest influence on me and my music, The Beatles! But since I gave my heart to the Lord, It’s been “every” Christian artist and band over the last 13 years. Three that really stick out are Phil Keaggy, Carman, and Chris Tomlin. I’m also a “Praise and Worship” junkie – I just can’t get enough!

Lee is a world renowned internet junkie and equipment geek. He suffers from Gear Acquisition Syndrome.  He is searching for a cure for this debilitating syndrome, but for now has to keep his symptoms in check by playing in CFW, on his church worship team and by working as a stage tech at Kingdom Bound each summer. He can sometimes be seen in public wearing a KB production crew black t shirt. NOTE- When engaging Lee in a technical discussion,  be prepared for a long talk.

That I am not actually balding, I'm just too tall for my hair.

Bach. Ah Bach! Classical early on. Classical accordion actually. That probably explains my current playing style. I started on guitar, but that had too many strings. I switched to bass – less strings. I am thinking about switching to one string on a broom and mop bucket, but the Fender model is too costly.

Buying the Fender Deluxe one string bass.
